For the first time in Nepal, a royalty-related case has been registered with the police against copyright infringement by ignoring the provisions of the law on paying royalties for public use of songs and music. On behalf of the Music Royalty Collection Society, the District Government Attorney's Office, Kathmandu, registered a case against Indreni Banquet Pvt. The Film Journalists Association of Nepal has held a national gathering with a special program at Shree Antu, a major tourist destination in Ilam, on the occasion of its 26th foundation day. In the two-day program organized on Jestha 7 and 8, various honors and awards were presented to seven journalists who contributed to film journalism.

Actress and mountaineer Diya Pun has successfully scaled Europe's highest peak, Mount Elbrus (5,642 meters).  She reached the summit on the morning of June 10 with Tejan Gurung (Elite Expedition) and Russian guides Leon Atabiev and Edgar. The expedition was organized by Elite Expeditions Pvt. Ltd.

Khadka won the title by coming first in the National Lok Dohori Idol organized by Cultural Society Nepal at Police Club Bhrikutimandap.
