Kathmandu. This year, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt will make her debut at the Met Gala, which is considered the epicenter of world fashion. What's more, she'll make her Met Gala debut wearing a gown designed by Prabal Gurung, an American fashion designer of Nepali heritage.

Alia has already worn Prabal's designs and is a lover of his work. Last week, the two met at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center's inaugural ceremony in Mumbai. Deepika Padukone made her Met Gala debut in 2017 wearing a Prabal design.

Prabal's designs have also been worn by Kareena Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Radhika Merchant, and others. The Met Gala, often regarded as the pinnacle of global fashion, will take place on May 1 in New York.
