A fashionable designer and artist, Nargis Perrin Soma's artistry flourished in Rajshahi. Soma, who has been involved in art since the age of 10, has been presenting paintings that have received awards in art since childhood. Many of his dreams have been fulfilled by the Fine Arts Department of Rajshahi University. After her master's studies, she started teaching as a professor in an art college with discussions on her artistry. She is currently preparing for her PhD.

Artist Soma, who has won the Grand Hard Award of Japan, Koch K Kerala Maestro Award, Painting Award at Gayan Art Gallery, International Painting at Lalikala Academy Shimla (HP) in the same year, Best Jaipur Award, among other competitions, has also held an art exhibition in Nepal for the first time. was Soma, who has been creating music videos and conceptual designs, was also given the responsibility of art direction for the film.

Artist Nargis Soma has especially tried to identify herself as a professional female artist. In front of those who consider women as weak, their ability, talent, quality and competence are not less than men. The successful introduction of his professional role has become known in the country and abroad.Here is Suman Bairagi's conversation with Soma:

How did you become interested in art ?

At a young age, he used to review colorful magazines and books. It inspired me to fill the colors of art. After that, my hands became busy with art.

As a woman, how easy is it to establish yourself abroad?

In the entertainment industry, mainly pictures, all actors are male or female. Priority provides the quality of the artist's work. Because I want to present my art, I have no problem being a woman and presenting it abroad. It is a big thing to show that women can be capable of themselves, can present their capabilities.

What is inside the picture? Why did you choose painting?

My main concept is to motivate women to come forward from lifestyle. I mainly show this in my pictures.

If you were not a painter, what did you think you would become?

Artist paintings are going to be embedded from the world, there own life experiences and other societies. What is in this artist's painting? Finally, the artist comes out of painting.

Which was your favorite picture so far?

Rather than this painting, I mainly paint in women's series. It is important to depict female characters and inspire them to take a positive path from that picture.

What is the definition of life after becoming a painter?

The artist's life is changed on the canvas itself. Along with the colors of the canvas, the colors of life are changing. Following the rules of painting, we are depicting the artist's life in our own style. According to my thinking there are no rules for painters.Whichever artist feels confident and better for him or her can become a master of his own painting. When an artist is immersed in imagination and emotion, his life is found there.

What was the most expensive painting ever and how much did it sell for or is it for sale?

The paintings I have sold are from one lakh to two lakh rupees. All the pictures you draw look the same. Others like it, order it and we start shipping colors.

How do you spend your daily life after waking up in the morning?

From the time he wakes up in the morning, time is passing on the new dimension of artistry. The colors of life are changing in the imagination and feelings of how and what kind of picture to make.

You have interacted with Nepali artists, how did you find them?

I have had the opportunity to work with artists from different countries while collaborating with Art Colors. I have also participated in many paintings with artists from Nepal. The artists here have captivated my heart. I also got the opportunity to show my art in closeness with them. All the actors are good, I am happy to see their talent.

How is Nepal in the eyes of a painter?

Nepal is a very beautiful country. Every place attracts tourists. There is a vast ocean of nature here. That is why many artists visit Nepal. In my eyes, Nepal is also an important country.

Which is your favorite country among the countries you have visited so far?

I have traveled to the Netherlands, Japan, France, India (Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala), Singapore and Sri Lanka among other countries for painting exhibitions. Compared to other countries, Nepal seems to be a country with more importance.
