Kathmandu. The seventh edition of the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) will be held from the 1st to the 5th of March. The seventh edition of NIFF is going to be organized by the Nepal Film and Cultural Foundation.
Nepal International Film Festival Organizing Committee Chairman KP Pathak said that 88 films from 40 countries have been selected by NIFF in the seventh edition from more than 500 films received from 60 countries. According to him, many of the shortlisted films have been screened at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Berlin, etc. He informed me that the festival will be divided into two parts, national and international, and awards will be distributed in feature films, short films, and documentaries in both parts.
Along with the screening of the films in the competition, workshops, discussions, and interactive programs related to various genres of filmmaking will also be organized throughout the festival, according to the organizers. The films to be screened at this year's festival will be screened at the branches of QFX Cinemas at Civil Mall, Labim Mall, Bhaktapur, and Chhaya Centre.
