Kathmandu. Bhagyashree, a lucky actress, just like her name. With just one movie, she made an enduring impression on Bollywood. That was also from her debut movie 'Maine Pyaar Kiya'.
She continued to perform in films and tele serials even after that although, Maine Pyaar Kiya was enough for her popularity. This Suraj Barjatya directed movie has been in theaters for more than three decades, but its effects are still being felt today. Additionally, the Bhagyashree debate is still going on.
'Maine Pyaar Kiya' was such a movie that brought Bhagyashree and Salman Khan fame in Bollywood. Salman, who has now attained the pinnacle of his proffession, continues to play the leading roles in Bollywood. However, Bhagyashree hardly appears in Bollywood films. She most recently appeared in the Salman starring movie "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan".
Bhagyashree was a member of the Maharastrian Marathi royal dynasty of Sangle. She was the daughter of Viyasimharaje Patwardhan and Rajyalakshmi Patwardhan, the fourth and final king of Sangli. Madhuvanti and Purnima are the two sisters of Bhagyashree.
Being a member of the royal family, Bhagyashree found it difficult to embrace color. In an interview, she said, "I am a member of the traditional Sangli, Maharasthra royal family. Among my three sisters, I am the oldest. In our family, it was customary for daughters to plan their family by getting married at a specific age. But a convinient school was where I was sent."
In the interview, Bhagyashree also revealed that she had to wear a saree as of the age of 13. When reflecting on her upbringing, Bhagyashree recalls, "In an way, we had a parallel life. I was raised and born in Mumbai. In this place, my sisters and I were typicasl kids. The protocol my father established in Sangli, however, was different. There were very specific guidelines on what to do and what not to do. I began wearing sarees when I was around 13 years old and in class eight. We had to adhere to a particular dignity in how we used to dress, walk, talk, sit, and interact with other people."
"My sisters and I were just regular kids in this place. However, the procedure my father devised in Sangli was distinct. The rules for what to do and what not to do were fairly explicit. Around the time I was 13 and in class 8, I started donning sarees. We used to dress, move, sit, talk and engage with others in a manner that reflected a certain dignity."
In 1987, Bhagyashree enterd this vibrant world. His acting carrer began with the well known Doordarshan series "Kacchi Dhoop", ehich was shown at the time. She was hired for the movie Maine Pyaar Kiya twopo years later. Along with Saqlman Khan, her cinematic career began from this point onward.
Bhagyashree's carrer flourished as a reult of this movie's success. She had begun her domestic duties by this point. She continued her film carrer even after she married Himalaya Dasani. In 1990, Kaid Main Hai BulBul, Tyagi, and Payal, three of her movies were reloeased. She had an appearance in Ghar Aya Mera Pardheshi in 1993. The rest of her film's voyage was drawn out.
She afterwards weds a Marwari family member. Bhagyashree, 54, is now leading a domestic life with her husband and their two kids. She had a diverse upbringing and found it difficult to adjust to everyday life. She claimed that after being married, she was able to balance all of these factors and go on.
