Kathmandu. Nepal Academy of Music and Drama has concluded its 12th Prajna Sabha. The 12th Prajna Sabha of the Academy was inaugurated under the patronage of Hon'ble Prime Minister and Patron of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Addressing the program, the Prime Minister said that Nepal is not only rich in biological and geographical uniqueness but also rich in cultural diversity. He said that cultural diversity is one of our invaluable assets which is being revived and energized by performing arts such as music and drama.
Stating that Sangeet Natya Pragya Pratisthan is an institution of arts and artists, he said that artists are an important part of the nation considering the role played by artists in the establishment and protection of democracy in the country.
Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Patron of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, said that it was the duty of all to preserve the cultural diversity of the country.
Expressing welcome remarks at the program, Harihar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of the Foundation, spoke about the activities being carried out by the Foundation.
Narayan Bhakta Shrestha, the patriarch of the foundation, said that the construction of the building has reached the final stage and the DPR of the well-equipped building including the auditorium hall has been prepared.
After the inaugural session, a closed session was held with the participation of the members of the Pragya Pratishthan.
