Lumbini state level original Nepali Lokbaja Tharu Madal (Mandra) training has started in Gulariya of Dang Ghorahi.
Mayor of Ghorahi Sub-metropolis Narulal Chaudhary inaugurated the training program organized by Nepal Music and Drama Pragya Pratisthan and local management of Tharu Kalyankari Sabha Dang.
In the training program which will start on March 7 and end on April 20, senior trainee Khadga Budha Magar will impart theoretical and practical training on the model to 22 trainees from different districts of Lumbini.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Ashok Rai and hosted by Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan Chief Narulal Chaudhary at the hall of Radhakrishna Collective Study Center, Dang.
Honorable Shanta Chaudhary, Dr. Govind Acharya, Dr. Krishna Raj Sarvahari as well as local social workers and community were present at the event.
According to Ashok Rai, Head of Music Department and Program Coordinator of the Foundation, the training program will be concluded on 1st April with the presentation of the trainees and distribution of certificates. Earlier, the foundation has conducted state level, Madhes state and Bagmati state level basic instrument training programs.
