Kathmandu. Lyricist Association Nepal has a new working committee under the leadership of lyricist Basant Bityasi Thapa. A new working committee of 11 members was elected under the leadership of Thapa from the thirteenth general assembly and the sixth session. Thapa, who held the position of vice-president in the previous term, was elected unopposed as the president of the association.
Similarly, Ramesh Koirala was elected as the vice president of the association with a majority. Another candidate for vice president, Bipin Kiran, got 16 votes, while Koirala was elected by getting 53 votes.
Similarly, Tika Rai (Shiva) was elected as the general secretary of the association with a margin of four votes. Mahesh Acharya, the opponent of the general secretary, got 16 votes, while Rai was elected by getting 48 votes.
Similarly, Sheetal Kadambini as Secretary and Chetan Khatiwada as Treasurer were elected unopposed. Kamal Paudel, Jeevan Mukarung, Surendra Thapaliya, Radha Pandey Giri, Tibbat Bahadur Darlami, Bhagwati Rokka (Bhumika) have been elected unopposed as members of the association.
Yogendramani Dahal (two terms), Chudamani Devkota (two terms), Shubh Mukarung has led one term as the president of Lyricist Association Nepal, which was established under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Krishnahari Baral.
