Kathmandu. Lyricist Manoj Khadka has released 'Tejasvi Apsara' focusing on the memory of his late mother as his late mother's anniversary is approaching. 'Tejasvi Apsara' was jointly organized by the Nepal Music Association and Lyricists Association Nepal and was released under the chief guest of renowned lyricist and writer Kali Prasad Rijal. The president of the Nepal Music Association, Milan Moktan, chaired the event, and the president of the Lyricists Association, Basanta Bityasi Thapa, welcomed the event.
It is in the voice of Menuka Poudel, who is rich in the magical voice of Nepali modern music. The song has lyrics by Manoj Khadka, music by Kalyan Singh, arrangements by Dixit Poudel, and recording by Luman Sathapit. The video design and editing of the song were done by Sanjeet Kumar Ghisingh. The video of the song has been prepared in a lyrical style. The song features singer Menuka, lyricist Manoj, and music composer Kalyan. The clips of the song recording have been placed in the video.
In the program, renowned lyricist Rijal praised Khadka's songwriting and inspired her to create powerful creations in the future.
Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Music and Drama Academy Music Ratna Musician Shambhujeet Baskota said that 'Tejasvi Apsara' is a song decorated with the confluence of words, music, and voice.
Similarly, former finance minister and senior lyricist SP Koirala mentioned that this song connects literature, society, and culture. Singer Menuka, who is based in India, sent an audio message and expressed her happiness at being able to give voice to a good word.
Similarly, the former president of the International Nepali Literary Society, Geeta Khatri, expressed her sincere gratitude to the lyricist Manoj Khadka, who remained devoted to his parents and his homeland while in exile. She said that the duty of a child is to have human feelings and remember one's mother.
Khadka, the lyricist of the song, said that 'Tejasvi Apsara' was written to capture the pain of losing a loved one. This song is more than just words and melody for me; it is a piece of heart. I have tried to express the pain of losing my mother in a song. The listeners who have lost their loved ones can feel the depth of this song, he said. He said that he tries to balance pain and energy while writing songs.
Lyricist Khadka is currently working at the headquarters of the US International Cooperation Agency (USAID) in Washington, DC.
Khadka, who has accumulated work experience in various government and non-government sectors, including Nepal, has specially written the dimensions of society such as relationships, sources of inspiration, and foreign employment in songs. The program was conducted by Suman Bairagi Pandit, General Secretary of the Nepal Sangeet Association.
Khadka's song writer Ramakrishna Dhakal, who has recorded around a dozen songs, 'Gaungharle Sodhyo Pardeshilai', and Pramod Kharel and Dr. Trishala Gurung's duet song 'Timi Je Ban Udaharan Ban' is in the news.
