How busy are you today?

Not as busy as before. I am doing new songs. Apart from that, I have also been doing stage shows.

You were very busy at one time, weren't you?

What made you back?

I came back after my father and mother passed away. My father passed away two years ago. My mother passed away a few months ago. I was saddened after losing my parents at a young age. How did you get the inspiration to enter the music industry?

Why do you think the audience liked the song 'I like America, Japan is like this'?

Maybe because it is relevant to suit the Nepalese society. At the time when the song was sung, there was a trend of going abroad to sell labor even among the educated youth of the country. Even now, the situation is the same. The said song of mine has given a message that there is money in Nepal if you put in the effort and sweat. When you embraced singing, it was customary to release an album. You didn't take it out?

I also took out the album. My first album is 'Jaan Tork'. This is my first recording song. However, the song was not a big hit. At that time, it was customary to release albums through companies. Companies did not believe in new artists. We had to play the promo by paying money. At that time, even after paying money for a new artist like me, companies did not agree to play songs. Even now, I have met the owners of those companies.

What do they say when they meet now?

They say let's work together. However, now is not the era of albums. There is no need for the company. Nowadays, it is enough to sing a single track and make a video and upload it on YouTube.

Isn't it easy for singers now?

It is easy, it is also difficult. Now it is difficult for singers to stay disciplined. Nowadays, songs sung with bad and vulgar words are hits. If you sing well, it won't work. Due to this viral trend, good and leading creators have been killed.

Don't you like going 'viral'?

I don't like the word viral. What's the fun of reaching the top and falling down again? So what I am now is fine. I believe that songs should be durable and evergreen.

Are you happy and satisfied with your job?
