Musician Shubha Bahadur Sunam and singer Tirtha Kumari have been awarded 'Bhaktaraj Acharya National Music Award 2078'.
Along with the award established in honor of Bhajan Shiromani Bhaktaraj Acharya, both of them were also given Rs. 50,001 in cash. Instrumentalist Rupesh Singh was given Rs.
A new honor has also been added this year considering the artist who needs healthcare. In the program, Shubha Bahadur played a saxophone on the song 'Jahan Chan Buddhaka Aankha'.
Singer Tirtha's son Suraj Thapa performed the song 'I don't drink water from the well'. Vipin Sagar sang Bhaktaraj's song 'Mutu Jalirahech'.
Instrumentalist Rupesh Singh has also been honored.
This honor is given in the name of Bhajan Shiromani Bhaktaraj Acharya. Acharya has not been able to sing for nearly three decades due to cancer of the tongue.
His sons Satya Raj Acharya and Swaruparaj have been active in Nepali fluent music for 29 years.
