Tuborg National Duet Song Competition started, competition between 61 teams

Kathmandu. The 'Sixth Tuborg National Running Shield Open Duet Song Competition-2078' has started from Wednesday at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu. Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Madhukar Marasini and senior folk singer Kumar Basnet inaugurated the competition on Wednesday.

Ramesh BG, president of the National Folk and Duet Song Academy Nepal, said that 61 teams from the capital and district participated in the four-day competition from Wednesday. He added that the team that excels in the competition, which is free for spectators, will receive a medal, Rs. 250,000 and a certificate along with the National Running Shield. The second
place team will receive a trophy, medal and Rs 150,000. 

The third place team will receive a trophy, medal and certificate worth Rs 100,000 in cash and the consolation team will receive a trophy, medal and certificate worth Rs 50,000, said Chairman BG. According to him, two singers and two singers who excel in this competition will be awarded Rs 10,000 each. The best costume and best discipline team will also receive 10,000 rupees and a certificate.

Chairman BG said that the spectators can listen to the food with rehearsal as there are various food stalls in the program. He also said that this time the duet song competition will be grand and decent. Singing competition will be held between the double singing team from 9 am on Thursday. The competition will continue from 9 am to 7 pm and will end on Saturday evening.
