The 17th general meeting and the 6th session of the committee elected a new working committee under the leadership of Thapa. Thapa was elected after defeating Jamuna Sanam, the candidate of the president, by a huge margin.

Ramu Khadka has been elected as the Senior Vice President of the Valley Coordination Committee, Prasad Lamichhane as the First Vice President, Madan Pariyar as the Second Vice President and Sharmila Kandel as the Women Vice President.

Similarly, Ramesh Babu Thapa has been elected as secretary, Rajesh Dhakal and Dinesh Chhetri as joint secretaries, Sunitami Periyar as women secretary, Dolraj Bahrghare as treasurer, Pritam Thapa as joint treasurer.
