The Kathmandu. Singer Chij Gurung's song has been embroiled in controversy. The song 'Hawa Sarr', which he released on his YouTube, was dragged into controversy.
Singer Rajendra Lamsal's son and artist Sagar Lamsal 'Bale' objected to the song saying that it was similar to the famous song 'Chhodera Aaye Ma' recorded in Radio Nepal in the year 2050.
Narayan Rayamajhi had given voice along with Rajendra in the collection and music of Krishna Ujad Poudel.
Saying that the song is very similar, Sagar had also submitted a petition to the attention of the National Folk and Dohori Geet Academy of Nepal. The dispute was resolved after talks between the two sides on Friday. The discussion was held between the two parties in the presence of Academy President Rita Thapa Magar, former President Chandra Sharma, Badri Pangeni, Advisor Narayan Rayamajhi. At that time singer Chij had said that incidentally the lyrics of the song did not match.
There was a theme of Bhaka (rhythm) in the song. There was a dispute between them with the consent to re-publish it.
Now Chij will record the song by modifying the pronunciation in the same word. The video will now remain. With the arrival of the modified song, the current song has been removed from the digital platform. But so far, the old song is playing on YouTube. On the one hand there was a dispute, on the other hand there was a meeting and then things seemed to have blown them into the air. After the controversy, the song should have been removed from YouTube. Otherwise, it can not be said that the situation will not be created that the same song will remain on all the platforms after the silence of this song.
